Reviewers have pointed out that Dulang Kafe strikes a balance between accessibility and taste. Christopher Kuhn noted that while some dishes may not offer the robust flavors of Bali’s street food, the café provides a reliable dining experience for those seeking something familiar and safe. The duck and range of side dishes have been praised, and families can revel in options suited to younger diners, like pizza and pasta. However, culinary enthusiasts seeking intense flavors may prefer venturing beyond more traditional offerings.
Food lovers have also enjoyed standout favorites like the nasi goreng loaded with vegetables and tofu—a fulfilling dish that proves comfort food doesn’t have to be complicated. Pair it with a refreshing mixed berries smoothie or a lemon lime mint drink for a delightful experience, especially on Bali's warm days.
Don't miss out on dessert, as Sarah D'Alimonte recommends indulging in the beautifully presented grilled bananas—a sweet treat to top off your meal. Whether you're dining solo or with family, Dulang Kafe offers a pleasant culinary journey suitable for everyone.

“ Highly recommended this place. Didn’t realize there was a happy hour from 3 - 6PM with 2 for 1 cocktails. The Changu Sling was my favorite. Very tasty. We also ordered the Brushetta for a starter. Then the Beef Rendang and Nasi Goreng Kampling. Everything was delicious. We liked the Beef Rendang the best….hubby is convinced this is the best thing he’s ever eaten. The prices are incredibly reasonable by US standards. Service was excellent and the restaurant atmosphere is well decorated and sophisticated. Really enjoyed our lunch. ”
“ Finally found a restaurant whose flavors are no joke. They’re serious about serving taste and portions that match the price. The spring rolls are a bit oily, but still acceptable. Luv ”
“ Great as always! Been there for a few times whenever I go to Bali, yet yesterday was my first visit after covid came. Surprisingly they improved a lot of things, the garden decoration and window in seating area make things even better to enjoy the evening in Kuta. The food is delicious, staffs are very welcoming, it’s a must to go whether you are a first timer or frequent visitor to Bali. One of the OG of Kuta beach scene, I hope this establishment last forever! ”
“ Beautiful experience at this restaurant with an amazing decor. We were pleasantly surprised by our dishes, they were both beautifully presented and delicious. I highly recommend the grilled bananas for dessert! ”
“ Singaporeans opinion Not a dig at Dulang but it’s a perfectly fine place. 4 * is a good score just wouldn’t say it’s 4.5* I’ve had better in Kuta Just didn’t feel the quality in the food but maybe that’s their safe space it’s a safe bet for visitors who can’t do too much strong flavours. Again 4* is a good place and we had a good meal I wouldn’t say it was great. - Duck was nice and variety of side dishes to try - wife felt the satay was a dry and was ok - kid seemed to like his carbonara + other kid fish and ships had too much batter not enough fish but that’s what you get from a safe space Easy to find and plenty of shops surrounding location ”
“ Great Spot Near the Hard Rock, Family Friendly and Affordable If you’re staying near the Hard Rock Hotel in Kuta and looking for a great place to eat, check out the Dulang. (It’s right next to the big KFC in the main town). It’s reasonably priced, has a wide menu with something for everyone including plenty of kid-friendly options plus you can book a private live cooking station.. Whether you’re in the mood for local dishes or more familiar Western meals, it’s a solid choice for families or anyone after a good meal in the heart of Kuta. ”
“ Our Favorite restaurant in central KUTA! Even with my high standards, they never disappoint. Super delicious food. Excellent service. Always attentive to ours and my baby’s needs during lunch time. Great prices. Definitely obsessed with this place. Ana and Endi have been our servers and they are both so warm, welcoming and attentive. This has been the only restaurant where my baby’s dietary needs have been met by customizing what she wants to eat with no issue and promptly. They make us feel like home. A must try while you are in Kuta!! ”
“ Lovely cafe that has stood thru the times. In the recent years, it has been refurbished. Veg options are available but limited. They are willing to accommodate. Had the nasi goreng - vegetables & tofu. It was good. The mixed berries smoothie was well made & good flavour. The lemon lime mint was a perfect thirst quencher on a hot day. They also served pizzas & pastas. Lovely deco. Friendly staff. Worth a visit. ”
